| Karol & REACH staff;
My best wishes to you for a successful NH4H Open House.
Also that you may soon have a viable NH4H program helping our veterans. Our program at Ft. Myer continues to be very successful. We need more programs to help our veterans across the nation. |

| I think the program is really great, and it needs to be known that the volunteers love doing their job because they get a lot out of just helping and making a difference in people's lives. It's a great feeling and that's why we do it. I'm really excited and can't wait to learn more about it! |

Subject: The Horse |
| Yes, maybe Star is a little Angel, she's very pretty, we just didn't click. But she's a great horse and worth a lot of money. But I found my boy! His name is Cody and he's a registered four year old Quarter horse gelding from Belvidere, SD and I love him. I'm not going to deny it though, I miss Arabians so i still have to go out there from time to time. But he's a good boy. |

Subject: Answer to Kelli Reese "A Horse" |
| Arabians are wonderful horses, athletic, extremely strong backs (able to carry persons of various stature & weight), and have proven to compete with the best 1/4-horses in reining & cutting. But, I must add too that 1/4-horses' hindquarters are "built" more for that type of work. I have also noticed that the horses that come off the Hizer ranch tend to be a bit stubborn??? If you are wanting to compete in the "near" future, I'd suggest you look at other horses; I think you would have to put in alot of training & time with "Star". |

Subject: A Horse |
| Hello,
As many of you may know, I lost my horse on christmas eve and the Hiser's have kindly offered me another for free, a 4 year old bay filly, about 14.4-5 hh. Her name is Star and I would like some advice. She's started off very nicely but she a bit stubborn. Since I am a tall person, she, might be too small, but she has gained some weight since the last time I saw her and she looks good. However, I know there's other horses out there and I don't know what to do. I would like to start looking into reining. Should I get Star, or keep looking for a taller horse?
Thanks for relying to this message |

Subject: The winner of Shalome |
| Shirley Muse is the winner of Shalome. Shirley is very excited and has already ridden her. It looks like Shalome will come live at R4AS until Shirley decides exactly where to keep her. While she is at R4AS, Shalome will be ridden in classes. Thank you so much to Hisers for helping us to raise $6160 and to Shirley for sharing Shalome with us for a while. |

Subject: If I won Shalome... |
| Kelli, you are such a wonderful young lady! I do hope you win Shalome. She would be such a great teacher for you. I bet once you learned more about her and built a level of communication with her you would find her to be compliant but not so energetic as to be hard to handle. Also, most barrell horses are race horses that turn corners. I think you would want a more heavily built horse to do that. I am sure you and Shalome would have many fine times togeather though. Good luck on winning, but if not you, then perhaps I would be so lucky as to win her! |

Subject: The chances of me winning is very small.....Oh sha |
| Well, I'm not very hopeful, I know I won't win her.....But as a dream, if it really came true, I would bring her to the riding academy where I could learn about her every day, and she could learn to know me as well. I would of course, buy my own saddle and all that. I would even buy her feed. The first thing I would do with Shalome is build a relationship with her, after all, what is a horse if you dont undterstand and know eachother...I got to ride her as well. She is sooo beautiful!!!! Only I noticed she's a bit stubborn and not as energetic as Id like her to be but thats ok, there's more great things about her then there is bad. Heck, maybe I could have her as my first barrel horse...i dont know.... But a dream is a dream...some come true some big one dont....this one is far too big....i dont win anything...ever. But I have won the privilage of being with the academy. So, I will have have a horse one day...hopefully.....I just pray she goes to someone that knows what they are doing....I hope shes loved and cared for, just as all horses should be. I just hope she goes to someone good.... |

| If I won Shalome, I'd share her with the arena because although I might be able to ride a horse, I have no idea how to take care of one and Karol is the best. It would be great to see others be able to benefit from Shalome's good nature since Leigh said she was a good horse.... |

| I would be so overjoyed it would take me a week just to get used to the idea of having my own horse (especially one trained at Heiser's). Don't get me wrong-I'd have a trailer for it in a hurry and I'd be out there everyday to make sure MY HORSE was well cared for!
Gosh-I can't even really imagine it.........Dream always but get myself into the reality, thats a whole other subject! |

| Thank you Wes and Veltet for donating your registered Arabian mare for the Riding Academy to raffle!! Shalome would be such a wonderful horse for just about anyone. I am one of the lucky ones who have had the chance to ride her. She has a sweet disposition and comfortable gaits...I'll have to think about this for a while... |
